Girl in a different world.

24th December.

At the moment I'm sitting in the back of an air conditioned car, a little sleepy from the twenty seven hour journey, but quite comfortable nevertheless. Looking out of either window all I can see is an ocean of fields framed with trees made up of a contrasting green compared to the burnt grass. Every few miles there will be a collection of cattle all trying to get shade from each other and yet never quite content. It really isn't surprising though because it's 31'c outside... I'm a little apprehensive about getting out of the car.
Driving the car is my step-dad's uncle who must be about eighty years old, and the most daring boy racer I've ever met. Although I do feel safe - after all he's had sixty years experience and driving dangerously. People are driving their motorbikes along Route 3 (the longest road in the world) in just t-shirts and shorts, completely vulnerable to everybody's dangerously safe driving. Does that make them crazy or brave? Neither I think. They'd probably think of us as utterly ridiculously overreacting.
We're nearly at our final destination twenty seven hours later! So I'll update at my next opportunity.

Girl in a different world.
